Company Culture

For more than 35 years, Bowyer-Singleton has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing a positive work environment for its employees.  We are fortunate to benefit from a multi-generational workforce with several tenured experts available to mentor and train our rising professionals.

Bowyer-Singleton strongly believes in balance and quality of life.  In addition to our annual company picnic and holiday party, we spend time throughout the year celebrating the professional and personal accomplishments of our team, as well as enjoying fellowship and friendship during special occasions and holiday events.

Community Investment

Bowyer-Singleton is committed to positively affecting the quality of life within our community, and we encourage and support our employees who find ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

To commemorate our 30th anniversary, Bowyer-Singleton pledged to use its talents and concentrated efforts in a project that would make a lasting impression in our community.  Seeing the opportunity to help a struggling school that experienced a lack of community support, we chose to “adopt” a local elementary school that was in need.

Our employees provided the students with one-on-one tutoring, extra school supplies, and much needed repairs to the school’s buildings and landscape.  Over the course of two years, the school’s ratings climbed from an “F” to an “A” with the help of our 560 hours of volunteer service.

Another tradition of giving instituted by Bowyer-Singleton employees is our annual Thanksgiving food drive “canstruction” competition benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank.  For more than five years, our separate departments have donated enough cans to “engineer” bridges and structures to compete in the company contest.

Our office institutes a company-wide recycling program and uses paper products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and produced from forests that are managed “to meet the social, economic, and ecological needs of present and future generations.”  Bowyer-Singleton’s certified LEED-accredited professionals direct the company in operating a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach in everything we do.

In addition, many of our employees donate hundreds of hours each year to religious, civic and philanthropic organizations as a means of “giving back” to those less fortunate.

Our employees’ dedication demonstrates our social and environmental responsibility through serving the community in projects such as these.
